Weekly Clubs & Classes

Here at The ArtBox, we provide a range of opportunities for all ages. We have regular classes which you can dip into; on a week by week basis or book up ahead to suit your diary.

Special Courses

Quite often , people say to us 'I wish you did these courses for adults' ... Well, we have been trialling exactly that for a while now and they are a huge hit. Here at 'The ArtBox' we are able to offer up high quality short courses or one off workshops for all levels of experience. They are geared towards 'the grown ups' (and older young artist!) and are led by our OTBLcic teachers. Although, we do have a large studio, we like to keep the courses small and inclusive. They can be one day workshops or a series of classes which build on each other, over the course of time. AND, as is our way, we always listen to suggestions and ideas; if there is something you'd like to try, just ask! We play to our strengths and passions so, they're not all clay based - Keep a look out for new events coming up....

Holiday Art Schools

We offer two 'Art School' days, in the school holidays, for children aged 6+ (no Upper age limit) - They are not always clay based so, keep an eye out for what's coming up! We often run these exciting days for the grown ups, in the form of a 'Saturday Art School' for grown ups...

By Appointment

We are happy to offer parties or socials for all ages. We have trialled: a 'Pre HenDo', 'Prosecco and Pottery' parties,  'Birthday Mug Making' parties and a' Quiet Night In ' (with a bring a plate style buffet!) - We've even had a couple come in to make a shared 'wedding breakfast' platter and a super special commission to make a 'Memory Urn' for a loved one. All of which have been joyful and successful.

If you are interested in our bespoke 'Mindful Makers' programme, or your own Home Education plan - please get in touch for an appointment and initial consultation.

Lastly, please feel free to contact us of you have an idea for a specific workshop or party you think we could work together on. We'd love to create something special, with you.

HOME EDUCATION

Throughout March and April we are trialling Home Education Art Days, for children aged 6yo+ (no upper age limit). WE will be exploring clay, its properties and the processes involved in designing, creating and completing final pieces. We will be drawing inspiration from natural forms like fruit, seeds and leaves. You will be making a sketchbook to record ideas and experiences, make a tile, mug and a small scale sculpture. If you are interested, please contact us and we can discuss age and any specific need. Parents/ guardians/ carers are welcome to stay. If you would like to make alongside, then we ask you to purchase two tickets. If you would like to be present for moral support, we suggest you make a cup of something and enjoy our cosy space. We can always arrange a preliminary visit to explore the sapce, meet the teachers and walk through what the day will look like.
